Spicy non-alcoholic eggnog

A very popular drink in northern countries, a kind of alternative to mulled wine.

  1. 1. In a ladle or small saucepan, combine the milk, cinnamon, cloves, and condensed milk.
  2. 2. Place on the stove and heat up while stirring. But don't boil!
  3. 3. Separate the yolks from the whites.
  4. 4. Add sugar and beat with a mixer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. 5. 1 st. l. carefully pour the hot milk mixture into the yolks, stirring vigorously.
  6. 6. Pour the egg-milk mixture back into the ladle and put it on the stove, simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes until thickened. Don't forget to stir the mixture so it doesn't burn.
  7. 7. Add vanilla and nutmeg to taste. Pour into heatproof cups or glasses, sprinkle with a little cinnamon and garnish with chocolate chunks.
