I didn’t think that it would turn out to be a wonderful low-alcohol drink with aromas of spicy cloves, with a bitter-sweet taste of star anise and cinnamon - lovely!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. In autumn, put clean, dry Isabella grapes in a two-liter jar. Add star anise, a piece of cinnamon, cloves, and the grated zest of one lemon.
  2. 2. Boil water and sugar in a saucepan, stirring occasionally, for about 2 minutes. Then remove from fire. Allow cooling to room temperature.
  3. 3. Pour the cooled syrup into a jar of grapes, add vodka and mix well. Close the jar with a plastic lid and put it in a dark, cool place (the cellar helped me out), until about the end of December.
