Watermelon canape with feta cheese

Lightly salted cheese is in perfect harmony with the sweet pulp of watermelon. Decorate canapes with chili pepper rings for piquancy, chopped nuts and basil leaves. For extra flavor, season with freshly ground black pepper and olive oil.

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Take a ripe, juicy and tasty watermelon.
  2. To decorate canapes, you can use anything to your taste, I took chili peppers, walnuts and basil leaves (any color will do).
  3. Wash and dry the watermelon, chili, basil and mint.
  4. Carefully cut the feta cheese into cubes with a side of 3 cm. I got 12 cubes.
  5. Clean the watermelon from the peel and seeds. Cut the pulp into cubes the same size as the cheese (preferably the watermelon and feta cubes are the same size).
  6. Choose a flat dish to serve.
  7. Lay out the watermelon pieces.
  8. On top of the watermelon, add the cubes of feta cheese, matching the edges.
  9. Cut the chili pepper into rings according to the number of canapes.
  10. Strip the basil leaves from the stems.
  11. Grind walnuts to not very small crumbs.
  12. Decorate the canapes with the prepared ingredients.
  13. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
  14. Secure canapes with skewers. Garnish a plate (or canapes) with mint leaves and serve immediately.
