  4. Melt 70 g of butter in a wide skillet, add the apples and cook over medium heat, stirring for 5-7 minutes, until tender. Add sugar and cinnamon and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Cool it down.
  5. Roll a ball of dough between two sheets of parchment into a 16 cm circle. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  6. Place a quarter of the apple filling in the center of the circle. Fold the edges of the filling dough. Also form 3 more cakes.
  7. Brush the edges of the cakes with the remaining butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Place in an oven preheated to 175 ° C and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
