Potatoes with a spicy dressing of fried onions, aromatic spices, ginger and hot pepper are an unusual, bright, tasty side dish from the available products. The potatoes are first boiled until half cooked, and then baked with onions and spices until an appetizing blush - a very attractive dish is obtained, both in appearance and taste. Try it!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. It is best to use small potatoes (1-2 bites in size). If the tubers are large, cut them into 4-6 pieces, so the potatoes are better saturated with seasonings and spices.
  2. Peel the potatoes. Cover with cold water, bring to a boil. Salt and boil until half cooked: whole tubers - 8-10 minutes, pieces - 4-5 minutes.
  3. Peel and cut onions into small cubes.
  4. Peel hot peppers from seeds and cut into thin half rings.
  5. Peel the ginger root and grate on a fine grater.
  6. Heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Then add grated ginger, hot pepper, cumin, turmeric, ground coriander and 1-2 pinches of salt.
  8. Stir in the mixture and fry the mixture for another 1 minute. Turn off the fire.
  9. Drain the potatoes and place them in the skillet. Mix everything well so that the aromatic oil evenly covers the potatoes and turns them into a sunny yellow color.
  10. Transfer the potatoes and the flavorful dressing to a baking dish.
  11. Place the dish in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
  12. The spicy potatoes are ready. Chop parsley (or cilantro) finely, sprinkle on the dish and serve.
  13. Bon Appetit!
