Cake "General" is a classic. It contains three sour cream cakes, each with its own filling - with poppy seeds, raisins and walnuts. Cakes are layered with butter cream, which is prepared on the basis of ordinary or boiled condensed milk. The cake is very tasty, homemade, perfect for a family celebration.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Let's start preparing the cake with the dough for the cakes. We will have one dough, then we will divide it into three equal parts and mix in the additives. So, beat the eggs with sugar until a dense light foam.
  2. Add sour cream and butter at room temperature to the egg mass. Whisk everything together for a minute.
  3. Mix flour with baking soda and sift into the dough.
  4. Knead a homogeneous dough of sour cream consistency.
  5. Divide the dough into three equal parts - we will have three cakes. I, if I'm not mistaken, used 385 grams of dough for each cake. Stir poppy seeds into one part of the dough, raisins into the second, walnuts chopped into large crumbs into the third.
  6. Bake three cakes. They need to be baked in an oven already preheated to 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. The diameter of my cakes is 18 cm, the cake came out, although not wide, but high.
  7. Remove the cakes from the molds and cool on a wire rack.
  8. From the cooled cakes, cut off bumps, tubercles and bulges.
  9. Grind the trimmings in a blender to crumbs.
  10. For the cream, beat soft butter with vanilla until fluffy, gradually pour in the condensed milk, without stopping whisking. The finished cream should be lush, airy.
  11. Lubricate the cakes with cream and assemble the cake. Grease the surface of the cake and sides with cream.
  12. Sprinkle the cake with scraps. Refrigerate the cake for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
  13. Cake "General" before serving, cut into portions. Enjoy your meal!
