A simple Raffaello cake recipe that doesn't require an oven. Preparing a biscuit cake with custard.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pour milk into a heavy-bottomed frying pan or saucepan, add sugar, potato starch, flour and a little vanilla. Stir, put on medium heat and cook until thickened. It will literally take 2 minutes. If lumps form, rub the cream through a sieve.
  2. We shift the custard into a separate container and let it cool for 5-10 minutes. Grind the cooled cream with butter.
  3. We take a small container and put a little cream on the bottom, spread it over the surface. Lay the first layer of cookies.
  4. (If you have a round shape, then break it apart before putting it in. Square and rectangular shapes can be used with whole cookies.)
  5. Lubricate the lower part of the cookies with condensed milk and spread on top of the first layer with condensed milk down. Thus we form the second layer.
  6. We send all the custard on top and distribute.
  7. Place another layer of cookies on top. Optionally, you can add bananas, pears or plums (something not very juicy, but with pulp). We set aside for 5 minutes.
  8. Whip cold cream (you can replace sour cream, but in this case it is better to use a thickener). Then add powdered sugar (not sugar!) to them and continue to beat.
  9. Spread the cream over the last layer of the cake.
  10. Top with shredded coconut or grated chocolate. We send it to the refrigerator for 2-3 hours or overnight so that the cookie cake is soaked.
  11. Cake "Raffaello" from cookies with custard is ready.
  12. Enjoy your meal!
