Cheese pea soup with smoked flavor

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Fry the chopped onion for 4-6 minutes. Add the coarsely grated carrots and cook the same amount.
  2. Vegetables do not need to be fried, but simply put together with other ingredients.
  3. Add peas, smoked meats, celery, lavrushka, chopped garlic and salt.
  4. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook over low heat, covered, for about 45-60 minutes, until the peas are tender enough.
  5. Remove the smoked meats from the pan, remove the lavrushka. Cut the meat into chunks and set aside for now.
  6. Add cheese and whisk with a hand blender. Return the smoked meats to the pot and stir.
  7. Heat the soup slightly and serve immediately.
