A sponge cake with raisins soaked in jam and snow covered with powdered sugar is a quick solution for the arrival of guests.

Ingredients

  1. Separate whites from yolks. Beat egg whites with citric acid until stiff foam.
  2. Adding sugar in a tablespoon to the proteins, beat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Add the egg yolks one at a time to the whites and sugar, beating.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, raisins, baking powder, vanilla and cocoa.
  5. Add one third to the egg mass, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Melt the butter, cool, add to the dough. Mix until smooth.
  7. Grease the form with oil, sprinkle with flour.
  8. Pour the dough into a mold and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
  9. Cool the cake in the form. Remove carefully.
  10. With a thread, cut the cake into 2 parts.
  11. Lubricate both parts with thin jam so that the cakes are soaked. Dust the top and sides with powdered sugar.
