A chocolate cake is prepared with the addition of ground almonds and orange liqueur.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Grease a round detachable form with a diameter of 23 cm with oil. Divide the eggs into yolks and whites.
  2. Melt 250 g of chocolate in a water bath. Set aside to let it cool down.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, ground almonds, baking powder and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar with a mixer on medium speed until creamy. Whisking constantly, add the egg yolks, mixing well after each.
  5. Continuing to beat the butter mixture on low speed, fold in the cooled chocolate, liqueur and dry ingredients.
  6. In a separate clean bowl, beat the egg whites on high speed until fluffy and stable foam. Gently fold the egg whites into the batter with a spatula.
  7. Put the dough into the prepared form and place in a preheated oven, bake the cake for 40-50 minutes, until a clean wooden stick when pierced. Remove the cake from the oven, let cool in the mold for 5 minutes, then remove the mold and let the cake cool completely.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the cream. Melt chocolate with butter in a water bath. Remove from the bath, let cool slightly.
  9. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt orange jam, add liqueur, mix.
  10. Cut the cooled cake in half into two cakes. Put one half on a serving dish, brush with melted jam, put 1/4 of the chocolate cream on top. Cover the chocolate cake with almonds with the second layer and brush the top and sides of the cake with cream. Let the chocolate cake with almonds rest in the refrigerator for 1-3 hours.
