Fried potatoes are such a favorite side dish in our family that I cook it almost every week. Adding an apple during frying gives the potatoes a completely new, slightly sweet taste and a pleasant fruity aroma. The combination of crispy potatoes and tender apple slices is simply amazing!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare everything for cooking - wash the potatoes and apple, peel the garlic.
  2. Peel and cut the potatoes into thin slices 0.4-0.5 cm thick.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and add potatoes to hot oil. Fry, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes over medium heat. Leave the lid on to create a crust on the potato slices.
  4. Meanwhile, peel the apple and cut into large wedges or slices.
  5. Chop the garlic finely with a knife.
  6. After 10 minutes, the potatoes became softer and golden brown.
  7. Add apple slices to the fried potatoes in the skillet.
  8. Season with salt and pepper, add garlic and mix everything. Fry the contents of the pan, stirring, for another 5-7 minutes, until the potatoes are ready (depending on the variety).
  9. When the potatoes are cooked and the apples are tender and covered with a delicious crust, remove the pan from the heat.
  10. Transfer the apple-potatoes to a serving plate and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
  11. Serve fried potatoes with apples to the table hot, as they are the most delicious.
  12. I highly recommend not to be afraid of new things in cooking - this is rewarded with new tastes and impressions of eating.
  13. Bon Appetit!
