A very interesting salad, in which a combination of herring and boiled potatoes is complemented by a bright hint of sweet and sour apple. The dressing of sour cream, yolks, lemon juice and mustard gives the salad a wonderful taste. An excellent combination of products, an uncomplicated cooking process and an amazingly tasty result!

  2. Peel the boiled potatoes and cut into cubes.
  3. Boil eggs hard-boiled (10 minutes after boiling water). Cool the eggs in cold water. Separate the whites from the yolks and cut the whites into cubes. You will need the yolks a little later.
  4. We cut the herring into fillets.
  5. Cut the herring fillet into medium cubes.
  6. Peel the onions and cut them into small cubes.
  7. Peel the apple and cut into cubes. Sprinkle the sliced ​​apple with lemon juice so that it does not darken. We mix.
  8. Combine herring, potatoes, onion, apple and egg whites in a bowl.
  9. Preparing the dressing. To do this, grind the yolks, add lemon juice, mustard, black pepper, sugar and vegetable oil to them.
  10. Mix well until smooth.
  11. Add sour cream to the dressing.
  12. Mix the dressing with sour cream. If the herring is lightly salted, you can add a little salt. If the herring is medium salted, then no need to add salt.
  13. Add the dressing to the bowl to the rest of the ingredients.
  14. Mix the salad thoroughly.
  15. Chop the dill finely.
