This Italian pie is a kind of pizza, but with crumbly dough, delicate curd and cheese filling and ham.

  4. Separate some of the dough for decoration, divide the rest into two unequal pieces. Roll out most of the dough into a 3 mm thick layer and place in a round shape with low sides, 30 cm in diameter, or another of similar volume. The ends of the dough should hang slightly.
  5. Place the filling over the dough and flatten.
  6. Roll out the remaining dough, place on the cake, pinch and prick with a fork. Brush the surface of the pie with yolk.
  7. Roll out the dough for decoration and cut out three long, thin strips. Weave them into a braid. Lay the braid along the side of the pie, brush with yolk.
  8. Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Place the pie in the oven and bake for 40-50 minutes. Serve warm or cool completely.
