Lean pickle with rice and garlic

  1. Rinse the rice under running water.
  2. Peel, wash and dice the potato tubers.
  3. Peel the pickles, chop finely.
  4. Peel fresh carrots and onions, cut onions into cubes, carrots into strips.
  5. Fry both in vegetable oil until golden brown, add cucumbers, fry for another five minutes.
  6. Boil water, put rice and potatoes, cook for 10 - 15 minutes.
  7. Add fried vegetables, cook over low heat until cooked.
  8. Remove the almost finished soup from heat, add bay leaf, chopped garlic and dried herbs, let stand for ten minutes and serve.
