Cut the plums in half, remove the pits and place them on a flat dish, cut upwards. Mix sugar with brandy and pour over plums. Leave for half an hour.
Heat the oven to 180 C. Drive eggs with sugar and vanilla until light, fluffy, within 5 minutes. Add sour cream and butter and stir for a minute. Add lemon zest and juice, stir. Add sifted flour and mix until smooth.
Grease the form with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Pour out the dough and put the plums on top, cut down (do not press into the dough). We bake in a heated oven for 45–1 hours. We check the readiness with a wooden stick. Sprinkle the cooled cake with icing sugar on top.
