Mashed Potato Soup with Onion and Bacon

It's easy to make a delicious puree soup with onions and bacon.

Ingredients

  1. Fry the bacon strips on both sides until crispy. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel to drain off the fat, then crush the bacon strips into small pieces. Leave the fat in the pan.
  2. Boil potatoes in chicken broth until soft, for about 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, pour the onion into a skillet with fat and cook over medium-low heat for about 8-10 minutes, until golden brown. Remove the pan from the stove. Transfer a little onion to a separate plate.
  4. Mash boiled potatoes with a potato grinder into a heterogeneous puree. Add milk, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, crumbled bacon and onions from a pan to the puree. Heat mashed potato soup over low heat.
  5. Serve the mashed potato soup in portioned bowls with reserved onions and additional bacon slices (optional).
