Just imagine: I liked the recipe for meatballs in potato dough so much that this week they repeated it three times! Very tasty and simple, from the products that you always have at home. Potato dough base and delicious minced meat filling! Will decorate any table, family dinner or festive feast. Be sure to cook!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Let's start cooking with the dough. Peel and boil the potatoes until tender (within 20-25 minutes).
  2. Grind the boiled potatoes in mashed potatoes (in any way convenient for you).
  3. Add butter (if the potatoes are cold, it is better to add softened butter). We mix.
  4. Add salt, egg and flour to the potato mass.
  5. Do not add all the flour at once, focus on your flour and potato moisture. For example, this time the potatoes were dry, so 100 g of flour remained.
  6. Knead the soft potato dough. Cover the dough with foil and leave aside for half an hour.
  7. While the dough is lying down, let's start the filling. Peel the onion, garlic and ginger.
  8. Pour the rusks with milk, let them stand for a couple of minutes.
  9. Rub the onion on a coarse grater, although you can finely chop it.
  10. Rub a piece of ginger on a fine grater.
  11. Combine onions, ginger, minced meat, garlic, salt, pepper and rusks with milk passed through a press. Mix everything well and leave for 15-20 minutes.
  12. Form meatballs from minced meat. The size depends on the tins you will be using to bake the meatballs in the potato dough.
  13. In a small amount of heated vegetable oil, fry the meatballs for 4-5 minutes.
  14. You don't need to cook the meatballs completely, the main thing is to seal all the juices inside.
  15. We turn on the oven, let it heat up to 220 degrees.
  16. Divide the potato dough into pieces, roll out and cut out flat cakes from the dough (like on dumplings, only a little larger and thicker).
  17. Place the meatball in the center of the round dough piece.
  18. Squeeze the meatball with potato dough.
  19. For baking, I will use paper and silicone muffin tins. It turns out very neat and appetizing.
  20. Grease the potato dough (edges) with the yolk mixed with milk.
  21. We bake the meatballs in potato dough in a preheated oven at a temperature of 220 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  22. The dough is delicious! If you didn’t know, then you won’t guess that it’s potato. The meatball is juicy, fragrant!
  23. Baked meatballs in potato dough were tasted hot and cold - good and so and so!
