I want to share the recipe for charlotte, which my grandmother cooked for me as a child. It is quite unusual: from peaches and with almond crumbs.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Remove the skin from the peaches (after putting them in hot water for a few minutes), remove the seeds, cut them into quarters.
  2. In a bowl, beat softened butter, icing sugar and vanilla sugar, add eggs one at a time, flour, ground almonds, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix everything well to get a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Preheat oven to 180 ° C.
  4. Pour the dough into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
  6. To pour and decorate the charlotte, melt 50 unsalted softened butter, mixing it with sugar and vanilla sugar.
  7. Remove the charlotte from the oven 10 minutes before it is ready, pour over the mixture and put it in the oven until ready for another 10 minutes, until it is lightly golden brown.
