Peel the onion, wash and cut into thin half rings.
Peel, wash and dice the potatoes.
Boil water (1 l), dip potatoes in boiling water. Cook over medium heat until tender. About 20 minutes. Then discard in a colander.
Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Place prepared meat. Fry the meat until golden brown on all sides. About 10 minutes.
Add onions and carrots, simmer all together for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Wash and squeeze sauerkraut. Chop fresh cabbage thinly. Mix fresh cabbage with sauerkraut.
Put the cabbage with the meat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, over low heat, covered, for about 60 minutes.
Then add tomato paste, salt and pepper, a couple of bay leaves, mix and add potatoes. Mix. Simmer everything together for about 15 minutes, covered over the lowest heat.
Stewed cabbage with meat and potatoes is ready.
