Bean Cutlets

A delicious and healthy source of protein for vegetarians (and even more so for vegans).

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Soak the beans overnight, drain the water, boil until tender (depending on the type of beans - 1-1.5 hours). Drain and cool the water. Grind in a blender and puree.
  2. Finely chop the mushrooms and garlic, fry in olive oil until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Traditional oatmeal is ground in a coffee grinder into flour.
  4. In a deep bowl, combine the mashed beans, fried mushrooms, oatmeal, spices and salt. Roll up the balls and flatten slightly.
  5. Fry the cutlets on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the patties to a greased baking dish and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
  7. Serve with tomato sauce or bolognese sauce with pasta or rice. Enjoy your meal!
