I want to share my recipe for "meatballs".
They can also be used in soup. Or bake in the oven as a casserole, such as mashed potatoes.
Or steam it (a very tasty and healthy option !!!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Minced meat (preferably chicken) I had this one time lean pork 300g
  2. 1/2 Carrots (about the length of the middle finger) Carrots can be replaced with parsnips (especially for allergy sufferers!)
  3. 1 small onion (you can and without, but mine love!)
  4. 1 small potato
  5. Fresh parsley (to taste) I had 2-3 stalks without leaves.
  6. 1-2 tsp ground oatmeal
  7. salt to taste (or without it) (depending on the child's age)
  8. Tomato sauce (your choice!)
  9. I do it like this: (quick option) 1 Tetrapack of sautéed tomatoes (500g)
  10. I take Italian (already proven, very tasty non-greenhouse tomatoes) without any additives.
  11. Carcass 1 onion and 1 large grated carrot (Carrots can be replaced with parsnips) (in about 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, I take rapeseed or corn oil)
  12. Pour steamed onions and carrots with sautéed tomatoes, salt (if for my youngest, then I do without it!) And sugar to taste (opponents of sugar / salt can miss this moment and do without them!)
  13. Let the sauce boil, if necessary (if the sauce is thick) add boiled water and boil for 1-2 minutes. Ready!
  14. Meatballs:
  15. Punch onions, carrots, potatoes and parsley with a blender in mashed potatoes, mashed 1/2 of the minced meat with a submersible mixer or similar, combine with vegetables. Salt to taste (and desire). Children under one year old are better off without salt.
  16. Add the oatmeal. Add more or less oatmeal depending on the consistency of the minced meat. mix everything: oatmeal, minced meat, vegetables, minced puree
  17. The finished minced meat has a beautiful orange color.
  18. With (clean) hands we form small balls and throw them and lightly !!! boiling tomato sauce. They are the size of my fingertip. The balls are easy to form and do not stick to your hands.
  19. Stew the meatballs with tomato sauce in a saucepan for about 20 minutes. (depending on the size and type of meat.)
