Ingredients

• medium-sized carrots - 1 pcs.
• butter - 250 g
• herring fillet - 300 g
• freshly ground black pepper - to taste

Directions

1. Prepare the ingredients for the classic herring oil. Wash the carrots, peel and place in a small saucepan. Pour in hot water, bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes. Let cool.
2. Cut the butter into small cubes and leave for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cut herring fillets into slices, place in a blender bowl and chop.
3. Chop the cooled carrots very finely. Beat butter with a mixer until fluffy. Add chopped herring fillets, carrots and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
4. Transfer the prepared classic herring oil to a container and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Remove and leave for 10 minutes at room temperature before serving.
