Homemade pilaf with pork in a pan

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pour boiling water over the washed rice 2 cm above the grains, let stand for half an hour.
  2. Chop the onion into small cubes, fry in oil until golden brown, add coarsely grated carrots, fry for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Put pork cubes to vegetables, mix, cover, simmer for 20 minutes, add tomato paste, cumin, spices, salt, mix.
  4. Pour steamed rice into the pan, mix well again, pour boiling water 2 cm above the level, cover with a lid.
  5. Cook pilaf in a pan with pork for about 35 minutes, until all the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Stir the dish, turn off the heat, let stand for another 20 minutes, serve hot.
