If you visit a Korean restaurant anywhere in the world, a million small bowls with delicious pickles and snacks will be immediately placed in front of you. But such tea, most likely, will not be delivered - because you are not at their place. At home and in restaurants "for their own", Koreans accompany most meals with this amazingly tasty and healthy drink.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, add rice. Fry, stirring frequently, until the rice is brown. Some grains usually burn, no big deal. It will take 10-15 minutes.
  2. Pour 5 cups of water into a saucepan of toasted rice, add salt, bring to a boil over medium heat, reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes.
  3. Serve the rice "tea" hot by pouring it into bowls with the rice.
