Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into large wedges and cook in salted boiling water until tender.
  2. While the potatoes are boiling, prepare the sauce. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat olive oil in a wide saucepan and sauté the onion and garlic until soft, 5-7 minutes. Then add the tomatoes and dried basil, season with salt and pepper and simmer until the meatballs cook.
  3. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Chop the parsley leaves. Mix onion, garlic, herbs, egg with minced meat, salt, mix well. Roll into small walnut-sized meatballs.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and brown the meatballs on all sides until golden brown. Reduce heat, add some water to the skillet and simmer the meatballs, covered, 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drain the potatoes and puree. Peel the garlic and chop finely. Chop the herbs. Add yogurt, garlic and herbs to the puree, pour in the olive oil and stir.
  6. Arrange the mashed potatoes and meatballs on bowls, serve the tomato sauce separately.
