An unusual Mexican drink "Champurrado" with an interesting taste can be both drunk and eaten as a dessert, enjoying every spoonful.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. First of all, grind the chocolate in any way convenient for you, in this case, chopped with a knife. I advise you to use only good chocolate with a high cocoa content, as this is the main character of the drink.
  2. 2. We mix milk and water in a small saucepan, you can use only one milk, but I don’t recommend replacing everything with water, the drink will not be so rich in taste.
  3. 3. Add cinnamon and nutmeg, mix and send to the stove until boiling, so that our spices begin to give off their flavors. Here it is quite possible to experiment and add those spices that you like, such as cloves.
  4. 4. With constant stirring, we introduce cornmeal (sift immediately) and sugar, and return to the stove. The mixture should thicken, so over low heat, bring everything to the desired consistency. Do not forget to interfere so that lumps do not form, which will be difficult to get rid of.
  5. 5. We check the readiness and run a finger along with the spoon, there remains a clear mark that does not blur.
  6. 6. We introduce our chopped chocolate into the mixture and mix until smooth, the chocolate will quickly disperse from the high temperature.
