Rice for sushi with seaweed

You can add a little nori to the rice pot for flavor, just remember to remove them as soon as the rice boils.

  1. Rinse the rice in cold water.
  2. Pour the rice with cold water (in a 1: 1 ratio.
  3. Pot the pot with rice on the fire, cover with a lid. Bring to a boil and reduce heat.
  4. Cook the rice over low heat for 10-13 minutes, until it absorbs all the water.
  5. Pour rice vinegar (or white wine vinegar) into a small saucepan, add sugar, salt and heat over a fire to a temperature of 70-80 degrees. The sugar and salt must dissolve.
  6. Transfer the finished rice to a wide bowl, pour hot rice vinegar and with quick movements, gently turn the rice several times with a wooden spatula. Do not stir!
  7. Allow the rice to cool slightly so that you can take it with your hands, and you can start cooking sushi / rolls.
