Imagine, in Latvia they just drink caraway tea! Sometimes they just boil caraway seeds right with boiling water in a big kettle! For two, it will be enough to cook in a Turk!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel and finely grate the ginger root. You can cut it, but this way it will give more juice.
  2. Divide the ginger into cups. If you are not used to ginger, then take less to start.
  3. Pour caraway seeds into a Turk or a small saucepan.
  4. Pour boiling water over about 2 cups and put on a scanty fire, as for coffee.
  5. Turn it off after 5 minutes, leave for a couple of minutes (or more, but not to cool!) And pour into cups.
  6. Tea is pale, pleasant cream color, slightly cloudy from ginger.
  7. A little cumin will end up in the cup, but it will sink to the bottom!
  8. The tea is pleasant with a familiar spicy ginger aroma, caraway is not pronounced.
