We are preparing a fragrant, spicy tea with milk and cardamom, according to a traditional Indian recipe.

  1. Measure the water into a saucepan, add an equal amount of milk and bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. When the mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat, add black leaf tea, peeled and finely chopped ginger root, and cardamom.
  3. For a more intense ginger flavor, the ginger root can be grated on a fine grater. Instead of fresh, you can add a little ground ginger to the finished drink (to taste).Boil the drink on a low heat for 3-5 minutes, depending on the desired intensity of taste. Then turn off the heat and add sugar to taste.Strain the drink, pour into cups and serve.
