The classic recipe for a refreshing Taiwanese drink. Tapioca Tea is the famous Bubble Tea drink originally from Taiwan. It is served with ice, and therefore ideal for a hot summer day - very refreshing and toning. Tapioca pearls are fun to suck through a straw, they are similar in consistency to gummies, so children will especially like the drink. But it's not worth offering it to kids at all!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. So let's get down to cooking. To do this, tapioca pearls must first be soaked in accordance with the instructions on the package. This is usually about eight hours, for example, you can soak it overnight. During this time, the pearls will soften and become more voluminous, they will look like chewing marmalade. Drain the tapioca container.
  2. Now we brew black tea, focusing on the strength to your taste. In the meantime, the tea is hot, add sugar (or any other sweetener) to it and stir until the crystals are completely dissolved. We are waiting for the tea to cool completely and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours to cool.
  3. When time has passed, we place the pearls on the bottom of two glasses, distributing them evenly. Fill the shaker with ice, pour milk and chilled tea into it. Shake vigorously. Then we filter the liquid into glasses. We do not reuse the ice from the shaker - add fresh ice cubes to the glasses of tea. This is important, since the ice in the shaker will break when shaken and as a result small crystals will get into the tea.
  4. We serve tea to the table along with a straw.
