Charlotte is the most popular apple pie. Each housewife has her own recipe, undoubtedly "the best". We also have our own: with apples stewed in cream and natural vanilla.

  1. Peel the apples, core them and cut into thin slices.
  2. In a skillet with a thick bottom, heat the butter, add cane sugar, heat for 1–2 minutes. Add apples, vanilla seeds and pod and cook for another 7-10 minutes. In 5 min. add cream until the end of cooking. Bring them to a boil over low heat, simmer for 2-3 minutes, remove the pan from the stove and cool slightly. Remove the vanilla pod.
  3. For dough, beat eggs, salt and sugar until fluffy, 10 minutes. Add sifted flour, mix gently, saturating the dough with air.
  4. Pour most of the dough into a split pan, greased with butter (diameter 26-28 cm), then carefully spread the apples together with the sauce, pour the remaining dough and bake in the oven at 190 ° С for 30 minutes. Garnish with powdered sugar and serve with ice cream.
