According to this recipe with step-by-step photos, you will prepare a real Italian dessert panna cotta at home. To get the same taste, try to find vanilla pods for the recipe. But you can replace it with vanilla sugar, aqueous or alcoholic vanilla extract. It is better to refuse vanillin.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pour gelatin into a plate, pour not hot water. Leave to swell. If for the recipe you took gelatin in sheets - fill with water so as to cover the entire surface. It only needs to be softened in water, no liquid is needed in cooking. While granular add water.
  2. Make a longitudinal cut on the vanilla pod. Scrape the seeds with the blunt end of a knife. For cooking, choose soft, slightly moist vanilla pods - dried will not give such a flavor.
  3. In a saucepan add cream, milk, and sugar, put vanilla seeds, and empty pod.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil over low heat. Stir constantly with a spatula. When bubbles appear, remove them from the heat.
  5. You can experiment and give the dessert any taste. The flavor is the same way only with the addition of herbs, coffee, tea, and spices.
  6. Remove the vanilla pod from the hot cream mass. Additionally, you can strain through a fine sieve to filter the vanilla seeds - so you get a uniform color without splashes.
  7. Pour the swollen gelatin into the still-hot workpiece. It is important that the mass does not cool below 80 degrees, otherwise, the granules will not dissolve completely. Stir gently with a whisk. But you do not need to beat and stir vigorously - it will saturate the workpiece with bubbles and the dessert may lose its homogeneity.
  8. Pour into portion molds. For this purpose silicone molds, bowls, or ordinary glasses will be suitable. Allow to cool, then place in the refrigerator. In about 5 hours the cat will completely harden.
  9. If you want to get the dessert out of the mold, pre-immerse the molds for 2-3 seconds in hot water, then just turn over on a saucer.
  10. If the panna cotta is frozen in glasses - serve without removing it from the dishes.
  11. You can decorate with chocolate glaze, jam, or sliced fresh fruit.
