Cake "Red Velvet" is made from red cakes on the basis of cupcake dough, served with butter cream.

  1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Oil 2 round heat-resistant forms with a diameter of 22 cm. Cover with parchment and grease it with oil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, beat softened butter with sugar and vanilla extract until creamy. Gradually add eggs, beating well after each.
  4. Continuing to beat the butter mixture at low speed, add the flour mixture, alternating with the milk. Add dye and vinegar, mix well.
  5. Put the dough into two prepared forms and place in a preheated oven, bake the cakes for 25-30 minutes, until a clean wooden stick when pierced.
  6. Remove the finished cakes from the oven and let them cool in the molds for 10 minutes, then remove the molds. Transfer the cakes to a wire rack, let cool completely.
  7. Meanwhile, prepare the cream for the red velvet cake. With a mixer on medium speed, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, mix well.
  8. Assemble the Red Velvet Cake. Put one cake on a serving dish, grease with cream, cover with a second cake on top and also grease with cream.
