In this recipe I'll show you how to make a delicious chocolate cake with cherries in a chocolate crown. The cake looks festive and is easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Put the cherries in a bowl, sprinkle with about 1 teaspoon of sugar and leave at room temperature so that the berry thaws and releases the juice.
  2. Mix cocoa with flour and baking powder.
  3. Grease a detachable form with butter and sprinkle with cocoa. If the kitchen is warm, it is better to put the form in the refrigerator.
  4. Beat eggs with sugar for 5 minutes (must form a fluffy mass).
  5. Add softened butter and sour cream, beat for another 5 minutes.
  6. Add cocoa and flour mixture with baking powder, mix.
  7. Remove the form from the refrigerator, put the dough into it. Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, bake the cake for about 1 hour (check the readiness with a wooden stick).
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the cream. Whip cream with powdered sugar until slightly fluffy, but do not beat.
  9. Drain the liquid from the cherries into a small saucepan, add a couple of tablespoons of sugar, bring to a boil. Let the syrup cool.
  10. Remove the finished cake from the oven, let cool.
  11. Then cut into two layers.
  12. Put one cake on a dish, grease with half the cream.
  13. Put the cherry on the cream.
  14. Cover with the second cake and brush with the remaining cream.
  15. Melt the chocolate in a water bath.
  16. Cut out a strip of parchment - a height equal to the height of your form in which the cake was baked, and a length equal to the diameter of the form. Cut into two strips.
  17. Using a sachet or pastry bag, apply melted chocolate on parchment strips as in the photo.
  18. Pour the remaining chocolate over the top of the cake.
  19. Lay the strips of parchment on the cake with chocolate inside, press lightly and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  20. Then take the cake out of the fridge and carefully remove the parchment. The chocolate crown should remain on the walls of the cake.
  21. You can not water the cake with melted chocolate, but sprinkle with chopped waffles or chocolate.
