Cottage cheese jelly cake with pineapples in some sources is called the dessert "Old Riga". Light and delicate texture, moderately sweet taste, pleasant aroma, juicy pieces of canned pineapple - it is difficult to refuse such a delicacy. And the simplicity of preparing this cake without baking is completely captivating - even a novice cook can cook a jelly dessert made from cottage cheese, sour cream and condensed milk.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Take any cottage cheese - we will use a blender, and it will help to break even the driest and lumpy cottage cheese.
  3. Pineapples for this dessert can be bought canned in pieces, not rings.
  4. Pour gelatin with 200 ml of water and 150 ml of pineapple syrup, leave for 30 minutes to swell.
  5. Then lightly heat the mixture (in the microwave - 30-40 seconds) and completely dissolve the gelatin. Cool down a bit.
  6. If you have canned pineapples in rings, cut them into small pieces.
  7. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream and condensed milk in a deep bowl.
  8. Grind the mixture with a blender to a state of a homogeneous, viscous, pasty mass.
  9. Pour the cooled mixture of juice, water and gelatin into the bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Mix with a blender for 20 seconds.
  10. Add pineapple pieces, stir.
  11. Line a suitable jelly cake mold with cling film to make it easier to remove from the mold later.
  12. Pour the contents of the bowl into a mold and refrigerate for 3-4 hours to set.
  13. After this time, the jelly cake should completely harden and slightly spring when pressed.
  14. Invert the dessert onto a plate and carefully remove the cling film.
  15. Garnish the jelly dessert, if desired, with fresh mint leaves or pineapple slices.
  16. Pieces of juicy pineapple perfectly set off curd-sour cream jelly. Next time I will add more pineapple, it will be even tastier!
  17. Great treat for kids and adults. Very tasty and easy!
