Fish skewers with apple sauce

Fragrant fish skewers prepared according to this recipe are so juicy that they literally melt in your mouth. Fish fried on skewers, complemented with apple sauce, acquires a new unique taste.

  1. Clean the fish, separate the fillet from the bones. Sprinkle with salt, ground black pepper and drizzle with lemon juice.
  2. Peel the apple and remove the seeds.
  3. Grate the apple on a coarse grater and sauté in hot butter in a frying pan for about 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, add sour cream. Stir and simmer the applesauce for about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Peeled onions and carrots cut into pieces.
  6. (If desired, you can use both tomatoes and zucchini for fish kebab. You can turn on your imagination and cook fish kebabs with fruits - bananas or oranges, tangerines.)
  7. Cut the mackerel fillet into pieces and string the fish on skewers, alternating pieces of fish with vegetables.
  8. Brush the fish and vegetable skewers with the prepared applesauce, reserving a few tablespoons of the sauce for serving.
  9. Grill fish skewers or bake in the oven at 180 degrees. This will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
  10. Serve hot fish skewers with apple sauce. Sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving.
  11. Enjoy your meal!
