A gorgeous and incredibly tasty shrimp appetizer! Excellent as an independent dish or as an addition to a glass of cold beer or a glass of white wine. Great as a light snack. Bright, rich and nutritious!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Step 1. Defrost the shrimps at room temperature. Rinse under running water in a colander, leave excess liquid to drain. Wash two unpeeled garlic cloves well, peel the remaining two cloves and chop finely.
  2. Step 2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan (you can also use olive oil.) Put the shrimps in the pan, salt, add unpeeled garlic, ground red pepper and allspice. Mix everything well. At this stage of cooking, you can use dry basil or oregano, rosemary and other favorite spices as desired.
  3. Step 3. As soon as the shrimps start to turn red, add finely chopped garlic and cook, stirring, for about one to two minutes. It is very important not to overexpose the shrimp over high heat, otherwise the tender meat may become rubbery and tough.
  4. Step 4. Add finely chopped green onions to the shrimp, sprinkle with freshly squeezed lemon juice and mix well again. Instead of chives, you can use chives or finely chop the shallots.
  5. Step 5. Put the cooked shrimp in a serving plate, pour over the top with aromatic garlic oil and garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary or thyme. Very tasty both cold and hot.
  6. There are a lot of dishes with shrimp. If guests are on the doorstep or you need to cook something original and special, then serving shrimps to the table will be a great idea, especially since they usually take very little time to prepare them.
  7. Shrimp has many beneficial properties and at the same time has a delicate and rich taste.
  8. Shrimp meat contains iodine, proteins and various trace elements. Nutritionists recommend consuming seafood, including shrimp, once or twice a week.
  9. You can use any shrimp in this recipe: king, tiger or regular. The smaller the shrimp, the faster they cook.
  10. Serve lemon water and napkins with the finished dish to rinse your fingers after peeling the shell of the shrimp. This will remove the seafood smell from your hands. To do this, pour cold water into a deep bowl, add the juice of freshly squeezed lemon, throw a piece of citrus for beauty and serve with shrimp.
  11. Enjoy your meal!
