Spicy and flavorful grilled squid! Grilled squid is not only very tasty and aromatic, but also very healthy. They are prepared very quickly and simply, they have a spicy taste, thanks to an interesting marinade!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all the food you need. Of course, chilled squid carcasses are a priority. If suddenly you only have frozen ones in stock, defrost them correctly: immediately after the freezer, put the squids in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours and only then finally defrost them at room temperature. We only need juice from lemon, so you can take ready-made juice from factory production.
  2. Step 2. Wash and clean the squids well. First you need to remove the thick pink skin, and then a thin film both outside and inside. Clean gently to keep the carcasses intact.
  3. Step 3. Pour lemon juice over the carcasses. If you will take juice directly from lemon, wash it with very hot water beforehand - this way the lemon will give more juice. Also use a small sieve to prevent seeds from getting caught in the marinade.
  4. Step 4. Pour soy sauce over the squid carcasses. Choose naturally fermented soy sauce, don't buy a cheap substitute. Better yet, use a special soy sauce that is recommended for use in marinades.
  5. Step 5. If you wish, you can add some of your favorite herbs and seasonings to the marinade: ground black pepper or garlic powder will do just fine! Leave to marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  6. Step 6. In the meantime, light the wood, wait until it burns out and turns into coals. Birch firewood is recommended for cooking food on the grill, boards of unknown preparation are not suitable for this purpose. You can also use ready-made coals from the factory. In this case, heat the finished coals well.
  7. Step 7. Take a grill for grilling, lay out the squid carcasses. As soon as the coals are burnt, place the grill on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, turning the carcasses once. Squids cook very quickly.
  8. Step 8. These squids can be eaten both hot and cold, as well as used for preparing salads and snacks. Bon Appetit!
