Hard cheese will give a new flavor to the traditional mashed potatoes. The grated cheese is added to the puree, imparting a pleasant taste as well as an interesting texture. It's so easy to diversify your menu with a new, very tasty and original dish!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, rinse them and put them in a saucepan.
  2. Pour 500 ml of water over the potatoes and add salt. Salt a little, (it is better to add salt later, given that the cheese is also salty).
  3. Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes over low heat until tender, about 15-20 minutes. We check the readiness with a knife or fork. If the potatoes pierce easily, they are ready.
  4. Thoroughly drain the water from the pan and leave it on the off stove, half covered with a towel. Leave the potatoes like this for 3 minutes.
  5. Rub the hard cheese on a medium grater.
  6. Then add butter to the potatoes.
  7. Knead potatoes with mashed potatoes.
  8. We heat the milk, but do not boil it, in a saucepan or microwave. Pour in black pepper and pour in a little warm milk.
  9. We continue to knead the mashed potatoes, adding milk to the required thickness.
  10. Then add the grated cheese.
  11. Knead potatoes with cheese until smooth, taste, then add salt to taste.
  12. The cheese begins to melt and the puree takes on an interesting, slightly stretchy texture.
  13. The mashed potatoes with cheese are ready.
  14. Serve hot. Bon Appetit!
