Delicate, ruddy potato pies with cabbage (or potato cutlets, zrazy). The ingredients are simple and accessible to everyone.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Put the potatoes to boil. As soon as it boils, add salt and add a clove of garlic for a better taste (those who don't like it may not add). Cook until tender.
  2. While the potatoes are boiling, let's start the filling.
  3. Cut the white cabbage into strips and send them to a hot pan to fry.
  4. Immediately add grated carrots to the cabbage (on a coarse grater). Salt and pepper. Fry over high heat so that the cabbage turns out to be golden brown. Stir constantly. Add sunflower oil as needed.
  5. When the cabbage is half cooked, add the onion cut into half rings and continue to fry until tender (I don't like onions, so I didn't add them). Let the filling cool.
  6. When the potatoes are cooked, drain all the water. When making dough, we don't need extra moisture.
  7. Grind the potatoes into a homogeneous puree (so that there are no lumps). Do not use a mixer or blender (you can wipe it through a sieve).
  8. When you get a smooth puree, add a little butter. Stir until the oil is completely dissolved. Let it cool.
  9. When everything is cool, add a couple of eggs and some flour.
  10. Prepare everything for sculpting (potato mass, filling, breading flour and water to slightly moisten your hands).
  11. Lightly moisten your hands, take a lump of potato mass and roll it into a ball. Let's make a cake out of a ball, put the filling in the middle of which and pinch the edges. It turned out 9 pies.
  12. Dip the pie in flour (there should not be excess flour on the pie). Fry potato pies over medium heat on both sides until golden brown.
  13. It is better to eat this yummy with sour cream (these pies are tastier for me when cold)). You can also cook potato pies (zrazy) with mushrooms, cheese, vegetables.
  14. Enjoy your meal!)
