Delicious and healthy versatile appetizer salad with squid. This is a very easy cold appetizer to prepare. It cooks very quickly, but it will be a great addition to a festive or everyday dinner. Thanks to a short heat treatment, the squid turns out to be very soft and tasty.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the specified foods. It is better to take squid from a trusted manufacturer. Usually squid is sold frozen and must be defrosted naturally beforehand. You can take the usual onion or salad red, I like the salad more. Vegetable or olive oil is suitable, I took olive oil. Take salt to taste, somewhere a pinch. Prepare a small saucepan, pour water into it and put it on fire.
  2. Step 2. Peel the squid and remove the insides. Rinse each carcass under cold running water. As soon as the water boils, add bay leaf to it. Dip the squid carcass in boiling water for 30 - 40 seconds from the moment of boiling and remove, putting it on a plate. As soon as the water boils again, boil another carcass as well. Let the squid cool completely.
  3. Step 3. Cut the cooled squid carcasses into long strips and put in a deep bowl.
  4. Step 4. Peel the salad onions and cut into half rings. Add chopped onions to the squid.
  5. Step 5. Add salt to taste, vinegar and pour in vegetable or olive oil into a bowl. Stir the salad thoroughly and marinate for a couple of hours in the refrigerator. During this time, I would also recommend stirring the salad several times to be sure that it was completely marinated.
  6. Step 6. Serve the prepared salad chilled. It will be a great addition to many dishes - potatoes, rice, vegetables.
  7. An appetizer salad of pickled squid and onions turns out to be very tasty. He will really brighten up the most ordinary dinner. Although there are only two ingredients in this salad, they complement each other perfectly. Delicate soft squid (thanks to quick cooking) and crispy aromatic onions combine into a delicious spicy duo. Light marinade makes this mixture very unusual, moderately spicy. Such a salad can be served on the table as a snack for guests or household members.
