  1. How to fry a seafood cocktail? Prepare all the food you need. When buying a seafood cocktail, make sure that there is no imitation of shrimps and crabs - natural seafood tastes better. We only need juice from lemon, so you can use ready-made lemon juice. if you squeeze the juice out of the lemon, scald it first - this way the lemon will give out more juice. Vegetable oil can also be anything from olive to cottonseed oil.
  2. Step 2. Defrost the seafood cocktail, drain all the liquid that has emerged. Everyone sells different seafood cocktails: mine includes small shrimp, octopus, cuttlefish and squid rings. Some types of seafood cocktails also include mussels and squid tentacles.
  3. Step 3. Pour lemon juice over seafood. This will remove the strong fishy odor.
  4. Step 4. Then pour in the soy sauce. A few words about soy sauce. There are a lot of cheap versions of this sauce on the market now. I advise you to choose naturally fermented soy sauce. For this particular dish, sweet soy sauce is ideal.
  5. Step 5. Salt the seafood. Leave to marinate for a while from 20 minutes to 1 hour. Again, liquid will stand out and it must also be drained. Also, adjust the amount of salt yourself, because it must be borne in mind that the soy sauce is quite salty.
  6. Step 6. Heat the vegetable oil well in a frying pan, add a seafood cocktail. Fry over high heat, stirring constantly. At this point, you can add your favorite spices and seasonings to the pan. Dill, allspice and fresh chopped garlic are perfect here, which, however, can be replaced with garlic powder. Do not stop stirring, if necessary, then slightly reduce the heat so that the seafood does not burn.
  7. Step 7. Fry until tender (depending on the characteristics of your stove, the chosen pan and the amount of liquid in the seafood, the frying time varies from 5 to 15 minutes). Even if your cocktail contains squid, which takes 2 minutes to cook, do not reduce the cooking time, the squid will not be tough.
  8. Step 8. Serve hot or cold. It is great to complement such fried seafood with fresh seasonal vegetables or a light vegetable salad.
