Delicious hot appetizer straight from the fire! Delicate shrimp meat with the smell of a fire is a very tasty and colorful dish. It is prepared quickly and not troublesome. Enjoy both hot and cold!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all the food you need. Remove the shrimp from the freezer in advance and leave to defrost at room temperature. You can use regular shrimp or king. Peel the bulbs and wash in clean water.
  2. Light a fire, place a cauldron over it.
  3. Pour in vegetable oil, heat it and send the onions to fry. Wait until the onion turns golden brown (this will take about five minutes). Do not forget to stir the onion periodically with a slotted spoon so that it is evenly fried on all sides.
  4. Add the shrimp to the cauldron, mix well and salt to taste. Cook for about ten minutes, while trying to keep the fire at maximum. Do not forget to mix everything well sometimes so that the dish does not burn. If the shrimp begins to burn from a strong fire, then remove some of the firewood from under the cauldron to reduce the flame.
  5. While the shrimp is cooking, peel the garlic and rinse the cloves under running clean water. The amount of garlic can be adjusted to your taste, use more, less, or completely exclude it from the list of ingredients. Chop the cloves in a way convenient for you, you can chop finely by hand, or pass through a press. I like the large chunks of garlic in the finished dish, so I cut each clove into 4-6 pieces.
  6. Send the garlic to the cauldron, stir and cook for five minutes.
  7. At this time, you can do tomatoes. Rinse them in water and pat dry with tissue. Cut some of the tomatoes into slices, after removing the places where the stalk was attached (I cut 3 tomatoes).
  8. Add the tomatoes to the cauldron.
  9. I cut the other two tomatoes in half and squeezed the juice into the shrimp. You can skip this step and cut all the tomatoes into wedges.
  10. Mix everything thoroughly and simmer over a low fire for about 5 minutes. Then immediately remove the cauldron from the heat and serve the dish to the table.
  11. Shrimp will serve as a great addition to a glass of chilled frothy beer!
  12. During the cooking process, you can add an umbrella or dill seeds to the shrimp, it goes well with all the ingredients in the dish. Sprinkle with freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice before serving, if desired.
  13. The guests and I liked the cold shrimp. Try it too!
  14. Enjoy your meal!
