  3. Cut the onion into half rings or cubes, as you like. In addition to the onion, you can also chop 1 garlic clove.
  4. Wash the dill, dry it and chop finely. In addition to dill, you can use other herbs to taste.
  5. Heat oil and butter in a skillet. Add the onion and sauté, stirring occasionally, until soft and light golden brown, about 3 minutes. Then you can go in two ways: 1. Pour 1 tbsp into the onion pan. l. without a hill of flour and fry, stirring, for another 1 minute, and then pour in sour cream. But in this case, the appearance of lumps is possible. Therefore, I prepare sour cream sauce differently.
  6. So that when stewing sour cream does not curl up, I advise you to dilute 1 tbsp in it in advance. l. corn starch.
  7. Pour the sour cream and starch into the skillet over the onion. Salt, pepper and mix everything. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for a couple of minutes. If necessary, dilute the sauce with milk, sour cream or water, bringing the sauce to the desired consistency.
  8. Put the squid in the pan and simmer it all together for no longer than 3 minutes, otherwise the squid will become tough as rubber and completely tasteless.
  9. Sprinkle everything with chopped dill and stir. Immediately remove the pan from the heat, cover and let the squid brew for about 20 minutes. These squids can be served as a stand-alone appetizer or as a main course with any side dish. Bon Appetit!
