Banana bread is a fragrant, tender and juicy pastry that is popular not only in America and Australia, but all over the world. This sweet muffin or pie is made from ripe bananas, and the composition of the dough can vary depending on the culinary preference.

Ripe and aromatic bananas are used as a base for banana bread. Personally, I never add fruits, the pulp of which has turned into porridge and darkened. But bananas with a darkened skin, sometimes in a dot, but with elastic flesh - just right. Moreover, the sweeter the bananas, the less sugar we add to the dough.

  1. To make homemade banana bread, we need the following ingredients: bananas, wheat flour, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, refined vegetable (I use sunflower) oil, baking powder and salt. All food should be at room temperature, so remove it from the refrigerator beforehand.
  2. Immediately turn on to heat the oven at 180 degrees. In a separate bowl, combine 220 grams of premium wheat flour, 10 grams of baking powder and a pinch of fine salt.
  3. Mix thoroughly and preferably sift through a sieve - this way the flour mixture will be additionally saturated with oxygen and possible debris will leave.
  4. We will make dough in a bulky dish. To do this, peel 2 medium-sized bananas (total pulp weight - 250 grams), add 120 grams of sugar to them
  5. Mash the bananas with sugar with a regular fork or mashed potato pusher. Then add 3 chicken eggs - just stir.

  8. Pour in 100 milliliters of odorless vegetable oil and mix it into the banana base.

  14. We mix all the products to make a viscous, but not very liquid dough. The moisture content of the flour is different for everyone, so add it if necessary, if necessary.
  15. We take a baking dish (my rectangular dimensions: 24x11 cm - at the top, 21x8 cm - at the bottom, height - 6.5 cm) and grease with odorless vegetable oil so that the banana bread does not stick. We spread the dough in the prepared form.
  16. Peel the third banana, cut it in half lengthwise and place the halves on the dough.
  17. We bake homemade banana bread at 180 degrees for about 1 hour. The baking time is very dependent on the characteristics of each specific oven. I have gas, bottom heating, no convection. If the top of the bread is very browned during baking, cover it with cling foil.
  18. Let the banana bread cool slightly, take it out of the mold and cool it completely. Cut into slices and enjoy.
