  1. Rinse the rice in plenty of water until the water is completely transparent. Throw on a sieve, shake off the water.
  2. In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine water and coconut milk, add salt and sugar. Add rice, stir, bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook without a lid for 10-15 minutes, until the liquid level is below the level of the rice.
  3. Close tightly with a lid (we advise you to wrap the joint in foil), reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, let stand for 5 minutes. and serve.
