Today we have a very delicious yeast dough snack pie stuffed with fried onions and bacon. It was based on a recipe for a pie called Zwiebelkuchen.

  1. In a deep bowl, combine sifted flour with yeast, salt and sugar.
  2. Make a depression in the flour, pour in warm milk and melted butter (not hot).
  3. Knead the dough. Cover with a towel and put in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a pan until golden brown.
  5. Peel the onion, cut into thin half rings. Put onion with bacon, salt and pepper. Saute until the onions are soft.
  6. Roll out the dough into a layer 3 mm thick. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, form sides.
  7. Put the fried onion and bacon on the dough in an even layer.
  8. Top with filling with eggs mixed with sour cream, oregano and salt. Bake yeast cake with onions in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 40 minutes.
  9. Cool the finished onion pie, cut into pieces and serve.
