It seems to be ordinary canned tomatoes, but thanks to the gelled marinade, they have a very interesting texture and original taste. Preparing this dish is quite simple and not too long. Please note: tomatoes in jelly, laid out in jars, need to be sterilized! And we would not recommend abandoning this step, otherwise problems may arise with storing the workpiece.

  1. Prepare the ingredients for the jelly tomatoes. Peel the onion and cut into thin rings. Wash the tomatoes and often prick on all sides with a toothpick. Wash and dry the dill and parsley. Peel and chop the garlic.
  2. Sterilize tomato jars and let dry well. Spread allspice, black pepper and bay leaf over them. Then lay the tomatoes, onion rings, dill inflorescences and parsley leaves in layers.
  3. Prepare a tomato sauce. To do this, pour gelatin into a bowl, pour 250 ml of cold water, stir and leave for 10 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Add sugar and salt to the remaining water. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add the swollen gelatin to hot water and, stirring, reheat. Do not bring to a boil.
