A fragrant, delicate and juicy strawberry cake for family tea. We will prepare the dough on kefir without yeast with the addition of two types of butter - butter and vegetable. It turns out very tasty, moderately sweet and hearty homemade cakes with berries.

A few words about the products and we will cook according to this simple and affordable recipe. First of all, the indicated amount of ingredients is for a very large cake, so cut them exactly in half if necessary. Choose small and dense strawberries for making a pie so that you do not need to cut the berries, but use them whole. Then the strawberries will not give a lot of juice and the cake will not turn out dull.

  1. To prepare this simple, tasty and aromatic berry pie, we need the following ingredients: fresh strawberries, premium wheat flour, granulated sugar and vanilla sugar, chicken eggs, kefir, butter and refined vegetable oils, baking powder and a little salt (to balance and strengthen taste). All products should be at room temperature, and kefir can even be slightly heated (not very much so as not to curl).
  2. We immediately turn on the oven to warm up (180 degrees). Put the fresh berries in a bowl of cold water, stir with your hands and let them swim for half a minute. Thanks to this, the dirt and sand that is always on the strawberries will sink to the bottom. Never wash strawberries without tails - they immediately absorb water and become limp!
  3. After that, we cut off the tails and transfer the berries to paper napkins to remove excess moisture. In total, we need 600 grams of fresh strawberries (slightly less).
  4. In a separate bowl, mix 600 grams of wheat flour, 20 grams of baking powder and a quarter teaspoon of fine salt.
  5. Mix the dry mixture thoroughly. It is advisable to additionally sift it through a sieve to get rid of possible debris and lumps.
  6. Break 6 medium-sized chicken eggs (45-50 grams each) into a bulky dish, add 300 grams of granulated sugar and a tablespoon of vanilla sugar (you can replace it with a generous pinch of vanillin).
  7. Beat eggs with sugar using a mixer at high speed until the mass turns white, greatly increases in volume, and the sweet crystals completely dissolve. After that, put 100 grams of soft (remove from the refrigerator in advance) butter. Pour 100 milliliters of unscented sunflower oil there.
  8. Mix well, pour 450 milliliters of kefir and mix it into the liquid base of the future strawberry pie.
  9. Finally, add the dry flour mixture from step 5.
  10. Mix thoroughly so that there are no lumps left. The consistency of the pie dough turns out to be quite thick, smearing, but at the same time soft and tender.
  11. We take a baking dish. I have a rectangular shape (32x22 centimeters), but round or any other is perfect. If you will be cooking half a serving, choose a round dish with a diameter of 24 centimeters. I advise you to cover it with parchment paper or grease it with vegetable oil. We shift a third of the dough and evenly distribute it with a spoon or spatula.
  12. Press a third of the berries into the dough.
  13. Cover with a second layer of dough, put the berries again. And a third layer of dough and strawberries.
  14. We bake strawberry pie in a well-heated oven for about 1 hour at 180 degrees on a medium level until golden brown. I have a gas oven, bottom heating, without convection (it cannot be there by definition). A wooden toothpick or skewer should come out of the dough dry - then the cake is ready. Let it cool completely and you can enjoy
