Fennel seeds give a special piquancy to meatballs. The meatballs are cooked in tomato sauce with vegetables. They can be served with almost any side dish.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Fold into a large bowl: minced meat, grated parmesan, fennel seeds, crackers, pass the garlic through a press. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Knead the minced meat thoroughly, roll into balls the size of a walnut.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan, fry meatballs until golden brown. Several passes may be needed.
  4. Heat oil in a large saucepan. Finely chop the carrots, onions and celery. Fry in a saucepan.
  5. Add tomatoes to the vegetables and, if necessary, a little boiling water so that the sauce is not too thick.
  6. Place the fried meatballs in the sauce and cook until tender, covered.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley when serving. Enjoy your meal!
